Scripture Post #1,822: *LIGHTENED*

 

Psalms 34:5:

"They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed."

GOD is light! And He shines so very brightly! When you get yourself around Him, you can't help but be illuminated; and there ain't no shame in that!

"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is *light*, and in him is no darkness at all." ~1st John 1:5. 

"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as *lights* in the world;" ~Philippians 2:15. 

"For God, who commanded the *light* to shine out of darkness, hath *shined* in our *hearts*, to give the *light* of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." ~2nd Corinthians 4:6. 

"Ye are all the children of *light*, and the children of the *day*: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." 1st Thessalonians 5:5. 

"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them *light*: and they shall reign for ever and ever." ~Revelation 22:5.
