Scripture Post #408: *THE LAW WON'T JUSTIFY*

Galatians 3:11: "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and all the brethren which were with him, unto the Churches of Galatia (Gal. 1:1-2).

Keeping the 10 Commandments which are included in the Law, along with following other precepts and ordinances, although good and holy, won't justify us. Without faith it's impossible to please GOD. (We're not pleasing GOD with those things if faith isn't there.) Righteousness in doing right things means nothing without faith in JESUS. If our righteousness doesn't come from JESUS then it's absolutely good for nothing. In other words: doing the right thing doesn't make you right, (faith in) JESUS does!!

CORRELATIONS:

Heb. 11:6: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Gal. 2:21: "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

2nd Cor. 5:21: "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Rom. 10:4: "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."

Rom. 4:5: "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Rom. 3:22: "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:"

V. 23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

V. 24: "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"

Rom. 1:17: "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

Rom. 3:28: "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."

Rom. 5:1: "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:"

Gal. 2:16: "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."

Gal. 3:24: "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."

Gal. 5:4: "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."
