Scripture Post #1,836: *RIGHTEOUS TENDED TO*

Psalms 34:15:

"The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry."

GOD doesn't pay special attention to those who obey Him because they're better than those who don't.

GOD doesn't listen and watch over His obedient followers more closely than those disobedient, because they've merited it.

GOD doesn't bless one person over another because they've earned it, worked for it, or have somehow become more important than those GOD pays less attention to.

GOD rewards His devoted children with attention because they *desire* His attention. You didn't get that. You've missed my point. This Scripture helps explain it more clearly: "The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts." ~Psalms 10:4. You see? GOD is not in the mind of the unrighteous. Righteous people can't go but for so long without touching base with their Daddy (GOD). Are you starting to get it, now? GOD hears and sees His passionate, devoted, obedient following. He'll answer their prayers. ("…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." ~James 5:16.) But sinners don't want the LORD; sinners want sin!! Are you with me, or have I lost you? The distance placed between GOD and man isn't placed there by GOD. It's placed there by *us*! We decide if we want GOD around. We decide to talk to Him. We decide to *not* talk to Him. So yeah, GOD'll pay more attention to His righteous Saints. Because they actually want Him to. Those in darkness, with much to hide, don't want GOD's eyes and ears on them. GOD's not the factor in your answered prayers or your closeness to Him, *you* are.

GOD Won't Condemn Us. Condemnation Is Self-Imposed:

John 3:19: "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

V. 20: "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."

V. 21: "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
