Scripture Post #864: *PARTAKE IN AFFLICTION*

2nd Timothy 1:8: "Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;"

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).

It's not all smooth-sailing when it comes to being in CHRIST. Sure, miracles, favor, peace, joy, blessing—all of that is attainable in CHRIST. For sure, it certainly is! But that isn't *anyone's* reality all the time. Standing for CHRIST will cost you your will, what your flesh likes, persecution from others, and attacks from the enemy. This all can be very afflicting. But that's okay! 'Cause GOD *de-liv-ers* us from it all. 

Ps. 34:19: "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all."

2nd Tim. 3:11: "Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me."
