Scripture Post #860: *WHICH DWELT FIRST*

2nd Timothy 1:5: "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).

The faith of certain grandmothers is a powerful thing. Same for mothers. Many powerful men of faith were greatly influenced by their grandmothers and mothers, such as Timothy. And the Apostle Paul noticed this. Ever been in Church, and have some older women in the faith speak a Word into your life with power and assuring truth? There's something about the faith of certain women in the Church that strengthens the faith of those around them. This is why GOD called the women a "help meet". (Gen. 2:18: "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.") Powerful men in the faith duplicate faith from the faith of those who've inspired them. The faith of grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters and wives is great help for men in the faith. 

GOD knew what HE was doing when HE created help for the man.
