This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the Church of the Thessalonians (1st Thess. 1:1).
A kiss is a display of love. *HOLY LOVE* is love shown in a manner where GOD is the focus. You see, there are several forms of love. You have romantic-love, family-love, friendship-love and Christian-love, which is holy-love or agape: the GOD kind of love. Unsaved people tell each other, "I love you" all the time. They may even kiss in an unromantic way sometimes. But what makes the saved person's kiss—or display of love—holy, vs. the unsaved person's, is that GOD is the focus, center and vehicle that drives the saved person's love. Unsaved folks don't have GOD in mind when they make their love-displays. 1st Cor. 13 teaches us that if we don't have love in the things we do, then we're not really doing anything at all. Don't tell me you go to Church but don't like anyone there. "Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss." Not just the folks in your click. And this Scripture does not mean that you go up to everybody at Church kissing up on them. Kiss = love-display. If folks are comfortable with "an holy kiss", then by all means, do so. People show love in many different ways. Let's be sure we're displaying love to our Christian-brethren—not just love, but holy-love.
