Scripture Post #726: *AVENGER*

1st Thessalonians 4:6: "That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the Church of the Thessalonians (1st Thess. 1:1).

The LORD is the *AVENGER*—not us. We don't have to bother with sticking up for ourselves and making sure others are dealt with justly based on how they've harmed us. GOD will handle the situation. And guess what? HE can handle it a whole lot better than you and I ever could. 

Give it to the LORD. 

Rom. 12:19: "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
