Scripture Post #713: *THE WORLD HATES JESUS*

John 7:7: "The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil."

"The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth…"

~ JESUS CHRIST

JESUS is light. The world dwells in darkness. CHRIST enters darkness with HIS light exposing darkness for the evil it truly is. And the world hates this. The world would rather stay in darkness because they love sin and evil. When you expose the world for the darkness in it, the world doesn't hate you—*THE WORLD HATES JESUS*! Because it's CHRIST's purity and holiness (which the world hates) that exposes the evilness of the world. So here's a good question to ask a follower of CHRIST who loves the world:

"Why do you love the world that hates the CHRIST you say you love?"

James 4:4: "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

1st John 2:15: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
