Luke 16:14: "And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him."

JESUS was speaking truth when the Pharisees, "who were covetous," derided HIM. These were the folks believed to be close to GOD. The ones thought to know GOD. But they laughed at the SON of GOD. Proving they knew not GOD. Folks may laugh at you, mock and tease you, in the Church even; but if they did it to JESUS, and you reflect JESUS, don't be surprised if they do it to you, too. This wasn't the only occasion where people laughed at CHRIST, either. JESUS said a girl was sleep and not dead, and was laughed at for HIS statement.

Luke 8:52: "And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth."
V. 53: "And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead."

Pray for those who tease and mistreat you; for their laughter isn't directed toward you, but rather WHO you represent. If you truly represent the LORD.
