Scripture Post #416: *CHILDREN OF GOD*

Galatians 3:26: "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and all the brethren which were with him, unto the Churches of Galatia (Gal. 1:1-2).

It's been said, "We're all children of GOD." Well, that simply isn't true, if "all" means both those saved and unsaved. JESUS CHRIST called certain Pharisees/Jews children of the Devil, so surely we aren't all children of GOD. (John 8:44: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.") Scripture states, we "…are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." It's by faith in CHRIST JESUS that makes us the children of GOD. If a person doesn't have faith in JESUS then that person isn't a child of GOD. Plain and simple. We are all creations of GOD, but children look like their FATHER.
