Scripture Post #354: *CHEERFUL GIVER*

2nd Corinthians 9:
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and Timothy, unto the Church at Corinth (2nd Cor. 1:1-2).

2nd Corinthians 9:7-8
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV):
V. 7: "Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give."
V. 8: "And God can give you more blessings than you need, and you will always have plenty of everything. You will have enough to give to every good work."

"We give with a cheerful heart, not a fearful heart!" (I didn't make that up by the way.) We're not under the Law of tithing—JESUS fulfilled all the Law! Give because you want to, not because you have to.

Heb. 8:13: "In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away."
Matt. 5:17: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
Gal. 3:24: "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
V. 25 "But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster."
(Scripture Post #78:  *DEAD END*
Romans 10:4: "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.")
