Scripture Post #1,938: *YET THE LORD*

 

Psalms 40:17:

“But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.”

“…I am poor and needy…” *YET THE LORD*. 

I’m limited in certain areas. Yet the LORD. 

I was lost and depraved. Yet the LORD. 

I don’t know what to do. Yet the LORD. 

Overwhelmed, anxious, pressured. Yet the LORD. 

We are very lowly and incapable of so much, yet the LORD thinks of us. He has us on His mind. He loves us! And it’s overwhelmingly beautiful that he loves us so much, even though we’re small and lowly. Humility is key!

Psalm 40 was David’s Psalm to the Chief Musician over GOD’s music in that era.
