Scripture Post #1,471: *FAMILY STRUCTURE*

 

Genesis‬ ‭18:12:

“Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”

“For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” ~‭‭1st Peter‬ ‭3:5-7‬. 

Sarah thought having a child was funny at her age (90 years old). She reverenced her husband, calling him "lord". The proper *FAMILY STRUCTURE* is for the woman to respect the man of the household as leader of the family. Women shouldn't bare the load of leader of the household. Happy wives love their husbands leading their families.
