Scripture Post #1,455: *I AM THY SHIELD*

 

Genesis 15:1: 

"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward."

The LORD is our shield and our exceeding great reward! He was that for Abram (Abraham), He'll be that for us, too, if we let Him. "Exceeding great reward." Wow! GOD is more than great. He's a prize that exceeds all other prizes. GOD is our shield of protection against the attacks of this world. When we are attacked, we have GOD for protection. We can rest easy knowing that.
