Scripture Post #1,373: *BROTHER'S KEEPER*
Genesis 4:
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

Very 1st Murder There Ever Was:
After Cain ignored GOD's words: "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?…" ~ Gen. 4:7—he in turn, did the opposite of 'doing well', by killing his brother. And then he got smart with GOD, saying, "Am I my brother’s keeper?" Well, if Cain was really smart, he would have known that we are our *BROTHER'S KEEPER*.
We must look out for one another, even when the opposite's easier.
Cain killed his baby-brother. A murder that could've been adverted had Cain listened to GOD.
