1st John 3:

 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Scenario #1: If our hearts condemn us. Or, if we're overwhelmed by guilt and shame of our sins—GOD is greater than our sins, shame, guilt & self-condemnation! So we needn't to worry. 

Scenario #2: If our hearts don't condemn us. Or if we're not overwhelmed by guilt and shame of our sins, then have we confidence toward God. Because there's no shame holding us back!
