1st Peter 1:21: 

"Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God."

*BY HIM* (JESUS CHRIST), we believe in GOD. By Him and only by Him. There cannot be another way. GOD raised Him from the dead in order for our faith and hope to be in GOD. We could not get to GOD without first getting to JESUS. CHRIST is our Mediator. JESUS is the absolute only way to GOD. 

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" ~1st Timothy 2:5. 

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."  ~John 14:6.
