Scripture Post #876: *DEPART FROM INIQUITY*

2nd Timothy 2:19: "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).

No longer bound by sin, serving it as slaves—CHRIST has come to free us. 

(Rom. 6:6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

V. 7: "For he that is dead is freed from sin.")

CHRIST has entered our lives and changed us that we should departed from iniquity. Leaving darkness and entering into HIS marvelous light!

John 12:46: "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness."

1st Pet. 2:9: "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"
