Scripture Post #856: *DON'T TRUST IN RICHES*

1st Timothy 6:17: "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;"

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).

Don't trust in riches; trust in GOD. GOD gives us all things richly to enjoy. GOD's gotchoo; HE wants to hook you up. So why trust in riches when you can trust in the ONE WHO can richly give you all things?

Context:

1st Tim. 6:17: "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;"

V. 18: "That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;"

V. 19: "Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life."
