Scripture Post #812: *EXERCISE GODLINESS*

1st Timothy 4:
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul, unto Timothy, his son in the faith (1st Tim. 1:1-2).

*EXERCISE GODLINESS*. "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things…" When the body is exercised it is made stronger. But however strong the body is made, it still is profited little compared to Godly exercise. For Godly exercise not only profits "…the life that now is…" but also, "…that which is to come." The spirit-man needs more exercise than the natural body does. Let the spirit be "…nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine…" (1st Tim. 4:6)—receiving the exercise it's required necessary for a healthy, spiritual walk with GOD.
