Scripture Post #803: *THEY BELIEVED NOT*

John 12:37: "But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:"

People witnessed JESUS performing miracles right before their eyes and still wouldn't believe HIM to be their Lord and Savior. The same continues today. People are witnessing GOD's power and denying the source. You can point out GOD's works in the world, and GOD's Hand in your own life, sharing your testimony and proving undeniable facts of the LORD's greatness, and some will still refuse to believe on the LORD. Men choose not to believe because they love darkness rather than light. (John 3:17: "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

V. 19: "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.") A man who'd rather continue in sin and darkness, for the love of sin and darkness, than to give up his selfish ways for CHRIST, will always deny GOD. For GOD is a GOD of light and holiness—not sin and darkness.
