Scripture Post #685: *SENSELESSNESS*

John 5:

43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 

44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

JESUS spoke these words to the Pharisees. 

The Pharisees wouldn't receive JESUS, WHO came in HIS FATHER's name, but would receive others that came in their own name—*SENSELESSNESS*. 

I wonder if they would've received JESUS had HE come in HIS own name and excluded the FATHER. Probably… They didn't want GOD all along—they wanted man.
