Scripture Post #675: *DEAD QUICKENED*

John 5:21: "For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will."

JESUS spoke these words to the Pharisees. 

JESUS raised the dead miraculously in the natural. But HIS power did the same spiritually as well!

*DEAD QUICKENED* = dead made alive. "…The Son quickeneth whom he will." JESUS brings us from death to life. When we were sinners, we were dead to GOD. But by GOD's grace and forgiveness we are quickened (made alive) to HIM!

Rom. 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Eph. 2:1: "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;"

V. 4: "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,"

V. 5: "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)"
