Scripture Post #508: *A PERFECT MAN*

Ephesians 4:

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

This Scripture was from Apostle Paul to the Saints of Ephesus (Eph. 1:1).

GOD gave Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers to the Body of CHRIST—the Church (V. 11). HE gave us these leaders so that we'd be *perfected* and edified and for the work of the ministry (V.12). He gave us these leaders to lead us until "we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" (V. 13). Through GOD's leaders we grow into becoming like CHRIST WHO is perfect. Perfection is attainable. But it's only attainable through growth in CHRIST. It's about becoming more and more like GOD. 

Matt. 5:48: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
