Context:
Luke. 14:1: "And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him."
V. 2: "And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy."
V. 3: "And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?"
V. 4: "And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;"
V. 5: "And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?"
V. 6: "And they could not answer him again to these things."
The Lawyers and Pharisees couldn't answer any of JESUS' questions—HE stumped them! We must use *GOOD SENSE* when it comes to being obedient to GOD's Laws and other Scriptures of the Bible. The Law is to rest on the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. So JESUS basically was like: "So if someone is in need of healing, I shouldn't heal that person if it's a Sabbath day? Or suppose an animal of mine has fallen into a ditch. Should I leave my donkey there to suffer all night until the Sabbath's over? The sick person and the poor animal could die with that approach. Is that using good sense?" It's like this with all Scripture. We can't pick Scripture and use it the wrong way. We must have and use *GOOD SENSE*.
