Scripture Post #412: *CHRIST, ABRAHAM'S SEED*

Galatians 3:16: "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ."

Context: This Scripture was from Apostle Paul and all the brethren which were with him, unto the Churches of Galatia (Gal. 1:1-2).

Wow this is good!!! 

In the Book of Genesis, GOD spoke a promise to Abraham (at the time "Abram"). And the promise had to do with Abraham's *seed*. The Scripture states "seed", not "seeds". The SEED of Abraham was\is JESUS CHRIST. We only benefit from the promise GOD made Abraham because of our connection: JESUS! (We are in HIM, making us heirs of the promise!!) We are heirs according to the promise because the promise's statements about the "seed" refer to JESUS CHRIST, and since we be in CHRIST that makes the "seed" refer to us!

Gen. 13:14: "And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:"

V. 15: "For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever."

V. 16: "And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered."

Gal. 3:22: "But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe."

V. 26: "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

V. 29: "And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."
