Scripture Post #2,112: *WHEN I WAS IN TROUBLE*

Psalms 66:

13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

The writer of this psalm states that he vowed to GOD when he was in trouble. And that’s how vows work at times. It worked out for Hannah this way in 1st Samuel 1:11 when she was barren and out of desperation, made her vow to GOD:

“And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.”

It was also like this for me *WHEN I WAS IN TROUBLE* and made my vow to the LORD and He immediately came through for me!
