Scripture Post #2,079: *CONFESS AND BE HUMBLED*

Leviticus 26:

40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

In Leviticus chapter 26 GOD tells His people how it would be for them if they’d follow His ways, and if they’d refuse to, as well. If they disobeyed Him, GOD said He’d still be merciful to them. In Lev. 26:40-42 it states that GOD said He’d remember His people if they’d *CONFESS AND BE HUMBLED*. Admit that you did wrong. Humble yourself. Don’t come to GOD being a big shot. Own your fault. Take responsibility. Take blame. Downgrade. Be lowly. (“Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.” ~Psalms 138:6)

Unless we have the attitude described in Lev. 26:40-42, we will not experience GOD’s remembrance. And GOD’s mindfulness is priceless.

Make Yourself Known (Remembered) To GOD:

Matt 7:21: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

V. 22: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

V. 23: “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
