Scripture Post #2,031: *AS ONE BORN AMONG YOU*
Leviticus 19:
33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
Levitical law states for sojourners to be welcomed as those born in the homeland of the Israelites. No difference should be made unto any who look differently. It was law to treat a sojourner like a native. And it was hypocritical for any Israelite to mistreat a stranger; seeing that they themselves were once in the very same situation.
“For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” ~Romans 10:12
“But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself…” ~Lev. 19:34
