Scripture Post #1,986: *FROM HEART TO MOUTH*
Psalms 49:
1 [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.]] Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
2 Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
The writer of this psalm had some very important words to share with the world! He prefaced his statement by expressing his desire for the whole entire world to hear him; both rich and poor, together. Then he states (Psalms 49:3): “My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.” This is powerful because this writer understands the value of wisdom and understanding. But more importantly, or what’s more fascinating is what we’re let in on: that our words come from our hearts. It’s because of my heart’s meditation on understanding that allows or enables my words to be spoken in wisdom. “…For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” ~Matt. 12:34.
