Scripture Post #1,971: *DON’T WITHHOLD TRUTH*

 

Leviticus 5:1:

“And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.”

Leviticus 5:1 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV): “You might be called as a witness and take an oath to tell the truth. If you saw something or knew something but did not tell it, you are guilty of doing wrong and must bear the responsibility for your guilt.”

Levitical law states that being sworn to testify, yet failing to report the truth about the sin of another, makes you guilty of that sin as well.
