Scripture Post #1,699: *JACOB BLESSES PHARAOH*
Genesis 47:7:
"And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh."
The man of GOD, the man of promise, the man whose name is a blessed and holy nation, Israel. This powerful man of great importance blesses another powerful man of great importance: Pharaoh. Pharaoh, being ungodly and pagan, allowed Jacob to bless him. He was civil enough to have harmony with a man whose faith vastly differed from his own. You don't see this kind of thing happen too often in Scripture. I'm sure Pharaoh benefited greatly from being blessed by Jacob. ("If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men." ~Romans 12:18)
Jacob was 130 years old when he blessed Pharaoh.
