Scripture Post #1,698: *IMMATURITY*

Psalms 25:7:

"Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD."

Sometimes you just don't know any better. You're too inexperienced. You're what they call "young and dumb." You're immature. And maybe reckless. Whatever the case may be, David, the writer of this psalm, recognized the sins of his youthful *IMMATURITY* and asked GOD to have mercy and remember not those actions of his shameful past. "GOD, I acted immature in my sins and I'm asking for forgiveness right now. I repent, FATHER." There's another saying, it goes "If you know better, you'll do better." How many seasons must go by for you to continue struggling in a specific area of your life? Must your recklessness persist, always? Won't you grow out of immaturity and let wisdom set in? How long must you struggle? How long must you toil with sin?

Heb. 5:12: "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."

Verse 13: "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe."

V. 14: "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

Heb. 6:1: "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,"
