Scripture Post #1,672: *CRYPTOZOOLOGY*

Psalms 22:21:

"Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns."

King David was the writer of this Psalm (Psalms 22). David pleads for the LORD to save him. He asks for saving from a lion's mouth. And then, reminds GOD that He has saved him from the *horns* of the *unicorns*. Lions are fierce animals. Unicorns are thought to be fictitious. But for David to mention a real animal (lion), and then a fake one, seems like an unlikely comparison. Additionally, we know that animals have gone extinct in the past; and not just dinosaurs, either. There are also many endangered animals in the world, today. Scientists have concluded that unicorns did actually exist very long ago. But they didn't look how you'd probably expect. David compares them with lions. So the unicorn was probably more like a rhinoceros than a pony. Expand your thinking and consider a possibility you may not've been privy to.
