Scripture Post #1,665: *PHARAOH RECOGNIZES GOD'S SPIRIT*

 

Genesis 41:38:

"And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?"

The ancient Pharaohs of Egypt were deeply rooted in spiritual wickedness. They worshipped many, many gods. They were very ungodly people. However, their Pharaoh recognized the SPIRIT of GOD in Joseph. None of their gods could do what Joseph's GOD could. No spiritual power, no force from any other realm that they could muster, could outdo the GOD of gods. Because, when all of the best magicians from all over Egypt were summoned to Pharaoh to interpret his dream, not a single person under Satan's influence could do it. But Joseph, summoned into godless territory, with GOD very much so in his life, interpreted Pharaoh's dream with ease. Pharaoh knew that Joseph's GOD differed from his and his magicians at this point. He saw that Joseph's GOD could do what his God couldn't.
