Scripture Post #1,663: *DOUBLED*

 

Genesis 41:32:

"And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass."

I believe that feelings of déjà vu, dreaming two separate dreams holding the same meaning, certain coincidences and other correlations of sorts, are the LORD's way of communicating to us that we ought to pay attention. I don't believe all déjà vu and every coincidence is GOD. But those of great significance, I do believe are Him. In Gen. 41, Pharaoh dreamed twice. Both dreams were very similar. And Joseph said the dreams were one: meaning they meant the same thing. He also said that the dream was *DOUBLED* because it was "established by GOD." This explains why there are so many Old to New Testament correlations: to establish the new by the old. This is where we get confirmation from. There may be times in your life where GOD will confirm a thing by doubling it: you may hear a Word from the LORD two times in the same week in two different forms. Or He may confirm a thing to you by undeniable similarity.
