Scripture Post #1,563: *SEED BLESSED FOR LAST TIME*

Genesis 28:14:

"And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed."

In Genesis 28:14, Jacob and his seed were blessed.

Many years prior, Isaac and his seed were blessed.

(Gen. 26:24: "And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake."

V. 25: "And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.")

And many years prior to Jacob and Isaac, Abraham and his seed were blessed. He too, built an altar unto the Lord, as his son and grandson did after him.

(Gen. 12:7: "And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him."

V. 8: "And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.")

Abram (Abraham) pitched his tent near Bethel, after building an altar to the Lord. Jacob built an altar to the LORD, many, many years later, near the same location his grandfather pitched his tent (Bethel)!

The seed of Abraham was blessed; then came his son, Isaac. The seed of Isaac was blessed; then came his son, Jacob. The seed of Jacob was blessed; then came Israel! GOD visited Abraham, Abraham's seed, Isaac, and Isaac's seed (Jacob). GOD didn't personally visit any of Jacob's children as he had with the previous 2 generations. This was because the *seed* that was mentioned in Abraham and the seed that was mentioned in Isaac, was Jacob. Because Jacob later became Israel! The representative of the Israelite Nation! All 12 of Jacob's sons made up the 12 tribes of Israel. So GOD no longer needed to visit this family bloodline, individually. Because the singleness of Jacob (Israel) made up the multitude that GOD aforementioned with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: the Nation of Israel!
