Scripture Post #1,527: *ISAAC'S INHERITANCE*

 

Genesis 25:

5 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. 

6 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

Abraham had a wife named Sarah. They couldn't conceive so Sarah gave Abraham her maid, Hagar, to conceive with. Ishmael was the result of that. Sarah eventually conceived and gave birth to Isaac. After Sarah died, Abraham remarried and had more children with his second wife, Keturah. Abraham also had other concubines and even more children by them. But the chosen Nation that would produce JESUS CHRIST came from Isaac. And that's who Abraham gave all that he had to. Isaac inherited earthly possessions from his father, as well as Heavenly blessings from the LORD.
