Ever wonder why there's more than one language? If we all come from one man (Adam), wouldn't we all speak the same language? Yes. And we all did speak the same language (Gen. 11:1: "And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.") until GOD confounded it. There were people who made it their mission to get to Heaven. They began to build a tower that would reach Heaven. These people were in such agreement that they became *ONE PEOPLE*. When GOD saw this, He said to Himself, [Gen. 11:6:] "…Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
[Verses 7:] Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."
God said, "let us," because He's 1 GOD in three forms: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." ~1st John 5:7. (The Word is JESUS.)
GOD confounded their language and scattered the people of the tower. Causing their differing languages to seem as babbling. Hence, The Tower of Babel. (Gen. 11:8: "So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city."
V. 9: "Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.")
When we become one people, passionate about something, nothing will be restrained from us—of which we've imagined. There's power in likemindedness.
