1st Peter 2:25: 

"For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls."

A Shepherd tends to sheep. A Shepherd guides sheep. A Shepherd protects sheep. A Bishop or Pastor does these 3 things as well—when it comes to GOD's people. We were like sheep that strayed away from GOD (in our sins). But now, (once we've accepted our part in GOD's family) the *SHEPHERD & BISHOP* of our souls (JESUS) has herded us back to Himself.
