Scripture Post #1,192: *FLESHLY LUSTS*

1st Peter 2:11: 

"Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;"

On top of *FLESHLY LUSTS* being sin against GOD, Who is holy, fleshly lusts war against the soul. It's just plain bad for you! Many times we don't want to hear anyone telling us to stop the sin we enjoy. But we should stop. Because we're killing ourselves in the process. Our sins do far more damage than they do good as far as fleshly-pleasures go. Shackin' up can feel good to one's flesh. But GOD doesn't want us shacking. Not only because it's sin against Him, but because it does one's soul great harm. As well as one's body. 

Rom. 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
