Scripture Post #1,860: *DAVID'S MISTREATMENT*

Psalms 35:
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

Here, David describes his experience with people who've hurt him. David fasted and prayed for these people. He mourned and made himself low for these people. But in his adversity they rejoiced. They mocked David and hurt him sorely. Sometimes GOD will have you experience sore mistreatment from others in order to get you to a place of great blessings — blessings you could not have ever experienced had you not gone through what you went through. Have you read the Book of Job in the Bible? Job went through extreme pain. But GOD brought him to extreme blessings. JESUS CHRIST went through the worst experience known to man. He became sin on the cross He suffered and died on. But He was elevated to the highest level ever. He was glorified in Heaven! And back to David. David went through so much pain from people who absolutely hated him. But David experienced great blessings from the LORD. And is now known as one of GOD's most blessed servants out of the entire Bible. So… still wandering where your blessings lie? Perhaps you haven't suffered enough.
