Scripture Post #1,815: *PHARAOH RENEGES*

Exodus 14:5:

 "And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"

GOD hit Egypt with 10 plagues. And afterwards, the Egyptians couldn't take it anymore. So Pharaoh let the Israelites go. After agreeing to allow Israel's freedom, the Egyptians basically said to themselves, "What have we done?" They missed their slaves (the Israelites). Exodus chapter 14 goes on to explain how Egypt chased after Israel, seeking to get their slaves back.  Pharaoh's renege ultimately led to his demise.
