Scripture Post #1,779: *LIKE NONE OTHER*

Exodus 8:10:

"And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God."

Pharaoh wanted Moses to call off the frogs that plagued Egypt. He basically said, "Moses, tell GOD to call off the frogs and I'll let your people go." Moses replied, "Okay. When?" And that's where Ex. 8:10 kicks in: Pharaoh said, "Tomorrow. I'll let your people go, tomorrow. Just call off the frogs, already!" Moses replied, "Okay, as you say. You'll let my people go *only* because you *know* GOD's power is *LIKE NONE OTHER*."

Context:

Ex. 8:8: "Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD."

Verse 9: "And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?"

V. 10: "And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God."

V. 11: "And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only."
