1st Peter 1:6:
"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:"

Temptation is a requirement for a born again, Believer. Even the MESSIAH, JESUS CHRIST was tempted. ("For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." ~Hebrews 4:15.) There's *no* avoiding it. No one's above it. CHRIST wasn't above it. So who are we? Temptation strengthens our faith, empowering us for the Master's use. Temptation is as a trying fire that ignites our faith! (1st Peter 1:7.)

1st Peter 1:6: "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:"
V. 7: "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:"
James 1:2: "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;"
V. 3: "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."
V. 4: "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
