Scripture Post #1,167: *INKLING*




Acts 26:24:

"And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad."

This Scripture gives a clear *INKLING* of the Apostle Paul's intelligence. Festus, opposed Paul, and wanted him put away for preaching the Gospel. Festus knew, along with many people of that day, that Paul was very intelligent. When Paul was Saul, he studied the Law of Moses religiously. He was very wise. When Festus said: "…Much learning doth make thee mad." It was like calling Paul a mad scientist! Mad with intelligence. Subtle inklings like the one found in this Scripture, can tell a whole lot.
