James chapter 2 focuses on faith combined with works. James 2:19 holds the same principle: your belief (or faith) only, is not enough. "…Devils also believe, and tremble." We must couple our faith with our works: I believe in GOD, therefore I love those who wrong me. I fear GOD, therefore I walk in purity & holiness. I have faith in GOD, therefore I fear no thing. It's not by these works that we're saved. The good we do, if at our best efforts, couldn't save us from our well-deserved punishment (Hell). We are saved by the LAMB of GOD, JESUS CHRIST, WHO shed HIS Blood and gave HIS Life. It's by HIM alone that salvation is met. However, this does not give us the liberty to use a "Get Out Of Hell Free Card". When a Christian Brother refuses to use swear words, it is not because he's on his "High-horse". It's because he actually has faith in GOD, that are *reflected* by his works. When a Christian Sister refuses to wear certain outfits that are revealing or promiscuous, it is not because she thinks she's "Holier Than Thou", it's because she actually believes in GOD, and her actions are merely a *reflection* of that. When a Saint, bought with the precious Blood of JESUS, reproves a fellow Believer (as Scripture commands us to: 1st Cor. 5:9-13, Eph. 5:11, 2nd Tim. 4:2), it's not that he's "Self-righteous". It's that he's CHRIST-righteous—the righteousness of GOD!! And his actions are only a *reflection* of his Christian belief.

This is when belief lies not alone.

This is when belief is tied with works.

This is how faith *really* is: when our actions reflect our hearts belief. Amen?

James 2:19 states that there's no difference in what we believe, and what devils believe. It's in our works that the difference lies. Do Christians and devils believe the same truth, that GOD is all-powerful? Yes. Do Christians and devils act the same? No. The difference is within the works.
