Scripture Post #1,091: *TOO SUPERSTITIOUS*
Acts 17:
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

Superstition is ignorance. The Apostle Paul found that the people of Athens were worshipping a god which was labeled "unknown". How dumb is that?
Superstition is: ignorant belief in that which is unproven, yet believed anyhow because of the pleasure it brings to the partakers thereof.
Don't be superstitious. Rather: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." ~ 1st Thess. 5:21.
