Context:
Acts 16:29: "Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,"
V. 30: "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
V. 31: "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Paul & Silas were imprisoned for casting an impure spirit of divination out of a woman who was a soothsayer. While in prison, at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto GOD. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. The prison-guard thought the prisoners had escaped after the earthquake until he was informed by Paul that the prisoners were still in the prison. The guard then ran to Paul and Silas asking the requirement of salvation.

Pay attention: this world is very lost. And the only way they'll be saved is if they believe. The prison-guard asked, "What must I do to be saved?" And the first word of response was: "Believe." You see? Paul and Silas had already believed in GOD; THE ONLY ONES SHOCKED WHEN THE EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED WERE THOSE WHO DIDN'T BELIEVE. Paul and Silas believed. And their belief duplicated, causing the prison-guard and his family to believe also. Sinners don't become Saints by way of Saints who doubt GOD. Or Saints who are uncertain of GOD's power. Sinners become saints when the belief that's *already* up on the inside of Saints is *duplicated* onto those who don't believe!

Christians convert; not divert. We make copies of the belief GOD has already established on the inside of us.
