Context:
Acts 16:25: "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them."
V. 26: "And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed."
Paul & Silas were imprisoned for casting an impure spirit of divination out of a woman who was a soothsayer. While in prison "…at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God…" *AND SUDDENLY* "…there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken…"
Saints of the Most High GOD, when you embark upon a continual-prayer/praise-GOD-life, you *will* most definitely encounter the *suddenly's*:
• "I was sick in my body and I began to cry out to GOD—I began to praise HIM anyway, and *suddenly*, I was healed!!"
• "I was held at gunpoint, and for some reason, all I could do was bless the name of the LORD, and *suddenly*, the robber fled away and GOD preserved my life"
• "I was so hurt I didn't care to live anymore. Depression was eating away at me. I lost my will to carry on. I heard the message of the Gospel and I found GOD more attractive than ever before. HE changed my life forever once I completely put my trust in HIM. And *suddenly* my depression began to rapidly reduce! Joy entered once CHRIST entered."
I've heard similar and even verbatim accounts to these above and you probably have as well. I've encountered the supernatural touch of ALMIGHTY GOD. I've had my share of suddenly's. And if you've been there, you know there's absolutely nothin' like it!!
